Cincinnati Worship Reaction

In the mornings we have been able to spend time with the children during their worship time, and one of the songs they sang has had a pretty significant impact on us and given us a different perspective on their lives. The song was called “Don’t laugh at me,” and was slow and [to us] seemed really sad. It talked about kids and other people from bad situations. “Don’t laugh at me. don’t call me names. Don’t get your pleasure from my pain. In God’s eyes we’re all the same. Someday we’ll all have perfect wings.” At firstĀ I was thinking about how strange it was to use such a somber song as a worship song for little children, but then I realized how relevant it was to their lives. It is so difficult for us to grasp their situations coming from fortunate homes, but after seeing them I understand how much they need us and how much they need Jesus.
