I can’t believe today is my last day. This feels much different from my first day in May 2009. I was fresh out of college, excited about having a job but terrified of students and working with and for them. I didn’t know if I would make relationships with anyone or if I would struggle [...]
Do you ever wish you could just grow up? Maybe you yearn for the day you will get your driver’s license. Or graduate from high school. Or go away to college. You don’t really want to be a kid anymore. You want to be seen as an adult. You want to feel like you’ve moved [...]
Yesterday was our last work day, so we were up and packing early this morning, grabbing a quick breakfast and then checking out of our rooms at CCU. Ahead of us were a 40 minute drive to Kings Island amusement park, and a full day galavanting around. The sky looked a little ominous as we [...]
Today we finished up all of our work at St. Michael’s Church. This was my first missions trip, so I really enjoyed being around a new environment with new people. I think the best part of this missions trip was the fact that I knew that someone needed us there to help them and further [...]

(Figuratively of course, everything it took to get here was physical.) After the morning meal, we ventured to St. Michael’s church to continue [...]
Soo…today was pretty awesome, we worked in this huge church that was from the early 1800s. And is believed to be a safe house for runaway slaves, which is pretty amazing, just to think about it. But anyway today’s job was to basically rip up all the tiles and the carpet in the main room [...]
One day down, four more days to go! Coming on the trip last year, there were many ups and downs from my expectations for the day. The ups- Air conditioning, more than one shower for the girls, and not all of us being in one room. The downs- Lots of people, not on site, TOO [...]
Today’s Passage: Isaiah 40:28-31 Experience: Here you are! At the end of your 40 devotions! Maybe you’ve been looking forward to these devotions all year. Maybe you couldn’t wait for them to end. Or maybe you want to continue these devotions for the next 40 days, or even longer than that! If so, we encourage [...]
